Lifting Escalators into the cloud!

The WEARwatcher is not only available for elevators, but also as a variant for escalators.

Escalators are subject to particular stress. They are usually in continuous use and have to transport a large number of people – every day. A failure has a massive impact on the flow of people in the building concerned.

With the escalator version of WEARwatcher, you can query specific properties such as handrail or chain tension, step breakage, direction of travel or vibration analyses via the cloud. Of course, in case of imminent danger, such as an emergency stop, the responsible technicians are also notified immediately.

Features

Breakdown probability

Within the first few weeks of operation, WEARwatcher builds up an extensive database on which it constantly recalculates the current probability of failure. These mathematical operations take place in the device itself, and the result is visualised as the probability of failure in the cloud dashboard.

Ride Quality

The ride quality parameters of the system are calculated and weighted according to the requirements of ISO18738, so that an up-to-date ride quality assessment of the system will constantly be available and visualised.

Operating Hours

The total time of operation is stored in the database for further analysis.

Total Distance

The WEARwatcher counts the travel distance.

Number of starts

The Cloud dashboard also provides a counter for the number of start from the escalator.

Emergency stops

The Cloud dashboard also provides a counter of all emergency stops.

Handrail Speed

The WEARwatcher continuously monitors the handrail speed.

Step Speed

The WEARwatcher continuously monitors the step speed.

Direction of Movement

The upward or downward direction of movement is displayed in the cloud.
